Its been some time since I last wrote about gym training, I have been going to the gym. Started running again, and managed 3 small 3 mile runs, but by number 3 my ankle was being to course trouble again.
I have been finishing off my PT with Steve, we actually been working quite hard, in fact very hard yesterday. I am not sure if he was inspired by the Olymipics or what but oh my goodness, yesterday 2 mins flat out on the versa with a 2 min rest in between 4 times at the end was a killer. For te first time ever I had to sit in the changing room and get my breath. Oh boy I had worked. We had not worked at this level since the training for the Liverpool marathon.
I have been watching the Olymipics, well bits and pieces found the opening ceremony interesting. Well done to all our sportsmen and women.
I am going to I think carry on with Mr Steve, what made me think this was when I want to have a chat with a lady who is helping me to find a job, she made me realise how far I had come in the last three years not just by doing the university course and getting my degree, but in what I had accheived with Steve, the weight loss the marathons, but more important the confidence.

Amber Treasure by Richard Denning
A comment from the author and publish on the Amber Ttreasure animation.
Looking at doing a Kindle 8 version of the Amber Treasure with some animations and maybe audio (perhaps the recording I did of the book) and maybe some video about weapons and back ground. Here is a You tube video of a bit of the concept with some animation by student artist Alison Herr who approached me as part of her degree work. Now starting to learn HOW to format Kindle 8 which is WAY more complex than plain kindle. BUt its basically like coding web pages which I do have some knowledge of.

Gym Training - Took my foot for a road test
A couple of days ago I want to buy new trainers, when I showed the chap what I wanted , my old trainers. He wanted to know where I had brought them. From this shop I replied, the sales man told me he had no ladies shoes in the style I needed so sold me a pair of mens.
Well he should not, he said. It turns out that with the style of shoe sold me last time, the way they are made for men and women are different due to the differances in the pelvic and leg area of men and women, the way a womans heal lands is different from a mans when running. So the shoe implants are placed in a different place. No wonder I had so many injuries. Now I have a ladies pair of trainers just right for me I hope. No I can feel the support is good now.
My PT session the other day was really good we worked hard on upper body, Steve says we need to focus on a few exercises and build strength up on these. I am back doing deadlifts. Its funny it was in my mind to ask him if we could go back to them now I am not running. How minds think a like some times.
Yesterday was rest day and today I worked shoulders, core and then decided to take my foot for a road test. I want very slowly, but covered three miles. My upper body and core feel very strong. Pleased about this not yet ready to run with my friend I have to take it slowly I can feel this in my body. Will not run again for a few days than do another slow three miles. I needed to do this with all the worries about getting a job, keeping a roof over our heads, nothing going right and everything I try going against me, I am bottling this up and I knew I needed to go out and run. Running is where I think. Its where I can come up with ideas. You have no mobiles, no distractions just you the pavement, fresh air and the road.
