This weekend saw my first attempt at getting on a bike in over 40
years and what fun that was. My daughter was crying from laughing as I kept
trying to get two feet on the peddles and go. It was one foot on, lift the other
foot and fall off, but at last after several attempts away I want, very wobbly.
The goal to get from point a to point b including
riding up and down hills. Holding on to the handlebars for grime death off I
want. Going up the hills was ok but coming down the bike sped off without me
nearly. So dismounted to come down the hills was the way forwward.
Than the was the people walking past do a
dismount and let them past, no I rode past, wow I did not fall off, oh and now
the man with the dog, keep going girl. A lady much older than me past me going
the other way on her bike morning she call, morning I huffed, and I thought I
was fit, I go to the gym every other day and do spin. Well if that lady can do
it so can I.
I arrived and all in one piece, now I just
have to go home.
This was better I actually managed to stay
on the bike going downhill as well as up.
This was my first go and I cover what half
a mile may be a mile, only another 99 miles to go.
